Software Engineer- Development

About the Role
At CatalystOne Solutions, we are looking for a Software Engineer Development with around 3 to 5 years of experience who is passionate about writing clean, high-quality code and delivering real value to users. You’ll be an integral part of an agile, cross-functional team and will work closely with Product Manager, UX Designer, and fellow Engineers to build and evolve modern web applications.

In this role, you won’t just be coding, you’ll be shaping how we build products, working closely with UX designer, product manager, and engineers to create high-quality applications.
What You’ll Do
Hands-On Contribution
Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code with a focus on performance, accessibility, and responsiveness.
Support the team in meeting sprint goals by contributing beyond your immediate assignments when needed.
Embrace a learning-by-doing approach, especially when exploring new tools, libraries, or frameworks.
Raise questions to improve your own contribution and take initiative to grow your responsibility and influence.
Process Alignment
Follow established engineering processes and contribute to refining team workflows.
Support adoption of ongoing tech initiatives and align your work with evolving best practices.
Share knowledge, lessons learned, and team successes with the broader engineering community within the organization.
Ownership & Quality
Take ownership of user stories, understand the associated business value and non-functional requirements, and deliver them independently.
Actively participate in daily standups, planning, review and other ceremonies with your team.
Review code constructively and participate in discussions around technical approaches and implementation.
Ensure high-quality implementation by leveraging established quality gates, automated testing, and monitoring tools.

Backend: Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices.
Frontend: React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3
AI Tools: GitHub Copilot, Devin, Claude Code, ChatGPT (to support faster and smarter development)
Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
Cloud: Microsoft Azure
General: Git, Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), feature toggles, quality gates, Jira, Figma, Miro.
Good to have- Spring Webflux. Event Sourcing, Storybooks, familiar with KurrentDB concepts (streams, events, projections)
Requirements
Backend Skills:
Solid foundation in Java programming, with exposure to Servlets and monolithic applications.
Experience (or strong willingness to learn) in Spring Boot and building RESTful APIs.
Understanding of microservices design concepts and cloud deployment (Azure preferred).
Frontend Expertise:
Experience with React.js and TypeScript.
Strong command of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3.
Experience building responsive, accessible, and reusable UI components.
Engineering Practices:
Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines, GitHub actions
Awareness of software quality practices: automated testing (unit/integration), accessibility, and performance optimization.
Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) is a plus.
Mindset & Collaboration:
Comfortable working in an Agile team, participating in sprints, standups, and code reviews.
Curious, adaptable, and eager to work across both old and new technologies.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to take ownership of tasks end-to-end.
